PortaBrands was founded by Ian Bates (Inventor and CEO) and Richard Davies (Market & Sales Director ), two well respected professionals with over 40 years combined experience in strategic management, manufacturing, sales, marketing, product development and people management.

Eddie Dickens joined PortaBrands in August 2007 as a shareholder and director taking care of technical, product development and supply chain issues. Eddie is one of the most knowledgeable people in the world when it comes to cellulose-based packaging from print, conversion through to global delivery. He's also a thoroughly decent person who has earned the enviable respect of most people at all levels of the industry.

Peter Holden joined PortaBrands in September 2007 as a shareholder and Director taking care of commercials, IT, planning and the internal sales office. Peter has a wealth of experience in the packaging industry having run production units, sales and design offices and complete businesses. Having worked with Ian, Richard and Eddie at various operations in the past he has obviously taken leave of his senses to join them in the great PortaBrands adventure. This madness coninues in one of his hobbies, namely repairing and rebuilding steam engines.

Hazel Bates (Company Secretary and Administration Director), spent her previous life in investment banking in the City, in marketing and finance. She then took a few years off attending coffee mornings (with babies) and lunches with the ladies; but now she looks after the admin/finance/cooking for PortaBrands; with the occasional ladies lunch thrown in for good behaviour!

James Neville is our man in Ireland - he always goes the extra mile for his customers, must be his Irish charm! James has spent the past 10 years working with some of Ireland's largest manufacturers and distributors of packaging materials in sales, marketing, distribution and product development - very versatile!
